Women who are trying to conceive will be no strangers to charting their basal body temperatures (BBT) in order to figure out when they’re ovulating each month. But this new fertility sensor bracelet from Switzerland is said to be able to predict, with extreme accuracy, when your most fertile days are – helping you get pregnant with minimal stress and effort.
How does this fertility bracelet work?
This fertility sensor bracelet, called the Ava Fertility Tracker, is billed as a “cycle tracker for the 21st century”, and a “completely unprecedented method of tracking a woman’s cycle”. Simply wear the bracelet, and Ava’s sensors will collect data on nine different physiological parameters whilst you’re sleeping. These parameters are fed into the company’s proprietary algorithm in order to detect your fertile window, physiological stress level, sleep quality, and more.

What advantages does the Ava fertility bracelet provide?
Firstly, the majority of fertility tracking methods rely on only a single parameter, which might not be the best way to provide a complete picture of your fertility in real time. As opposed to this, Ava is said to be able to detect the very first signs that your fertile window is beginning, and confirm when it ends as well. More specifically, out of the six days per month when you’re able to conceive, Ava is clinically proven to recognize five of them!
In addition to being more accurate, Ava is also an extremely low-effort way of tracking your cycle, requiring minimal input from your end.
Is Ava fertility bracelet certified?
Ava was clinically tested in a year-long study at the University Hospital of Zurich; during this study, it was shown to detect an average of 5.3 fertile days per cycle at 89% accuracy. In addition to this, Ava is an FDA registered device and CE certified (meaning it conforms with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area!)

Are there any success stories with Ava?
Amongst those who have used Ava to successfully conceive is 32 year old Lizzie McGee from Utah. Lizzie had tried to conceive for four years and counting, and was about to embark on an In vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment when she got pregnant with her son, using Ava. According to Lizzie, the Ava bracelet took 2 months to sync and “figure out” her body, but once that happened, she could tell her body was following what it was saying, and she knew she was going to get pregnant.
The Ava fertility bracelet currently only ships to America, Europe and Switzerland. However, consumers in Asia may use a forwarding service such as ComGateway to have the bracelet delivered to them!
